As a user you can create topics, to not only moderate the discussion, but also to organize students into groups. While the default setting for topics is to enable points, you can also disable points for specific topics. As the board owner or administrator, you could choose not to grant points for certain topics if you choose, perhaps for a Q&A board.
To shut down the topic point system, you could follow the steps below:
- Log into the board.
- Click the “Settings” icon.
- Click the “Topics” icon.
- Uncheck the “Enable points for creating a pin, comment, or upvote with this topic” option.
- Click "Update Topic".
